The day i lost 500000kg.

I think I lost most of my weight gained during the holidays today.

I woke up at 10. Played minesweeper until MJ woke up at 12.30. I washed up and etc until 1. We slacked around and blogged and chatted on msn until like 2. And that's when I told Winne I'll be late.

Ok so after that I went to Serangoon to help Winne with her iPod. Jesus it gave me a hell of a time. But hey I gained sth. Her brother had the Three Doors Down - Greatest Hits album. He also had the Creed - Greatest Hits album. He had Nickelback's All The Right Reasons album, and that's about it. Here's the good thing about the iPod. You connect it to a foreign PC, you open iTunes, you download all the songs to your iPod, and you listen.

Whee so my songbank just upped by like 40songs. Not to mention that her brother's from my church too! Haha, oh well.

Anyway after trying to fix her iPod we realised that we couldn't do it see. So we went down to Uncle Daddy's store at Cineleisure. The i21 store. Apparently he's the boss there but he was sick that day. Happened that the guy he recommended us was on leave too, so some other dude attended to us, after a long while we let him reformat and update the iPod, hoping it would work. Well it wasn't able to connect to my laptop. I had to reformat it and shit, afterwhich we still couldn't detect the iPod.

Because the iPod's warranty was lonng overdue (the purchase date was in Sept' 04), we had to pay if we wanted to service at the i21 store. Thus, Winne mentioned that the shop that sold her the iPod 2nd hand gave her a 2 week service warranty. This meant that if we went back they would be OBLIGED to fix it for us. So thus we went to Sim Lim.

So after talking to the guy at SL, we got it fixed. Well sorta. It connected to my computer finally, and then we tranferred a few songs. Yay, so happily we all went to where we were supposed to go. Me, to meet MJ and CY for dinner, and Winne home for her dinner.

At dinner I wasn't too hungry. I just had a LARGE coke to keep me awake. I left the both of them to go for my classical guitar lesson. Justin taught me some basics, the rules of the classical guitar basically. Man I feel so noobie starting all over again. "No no! Your left thumb cannot come up already! This is not electric guitar ah!" or "After you pluck, rest your thumb. And NO NO your thumb cannot go in, must always be OUTSIDE the fingers." and "the rest stroke is VERY important because it brings the melody out. GO HOME AND PRACTISE YOUR REST STROKE."

So I'm in hell now. My fingers are sore, I'm starving and I told my mum I had dinner so that she wouldn't be unhappy. I'll look for the leftovers.

And to think I had to learn some Isaac Albeinz song. Some Grade 5 piece. Guitar has grades too, starting from 9 to 1 I think, so Winne said. Anyway I'm off to a good start. Just that half way thru the lesson he just switched to another piece, so I'm doing Romance De Amor. I feel so noobie. Isn't that what ALL classical guitarists do for their first exam piece?

Bahh I fell like such a noob. Oh yes, he taught me Romance De Amor cause I said I had problems sight reading. So he said, "learn this song, then go and match it to the piece. Just keep doing it and sight reading will become like reading for you. It's easy to figure the notes out, but to find them on your guitar is the hard part. Thus we do it this way, and buy some sight reading books if you can."

So thus I have to play Romance De Amor. But I can't remember the major section. The first (minor) section isn't a problem, I breezed through it. But the major one, hard to remember. And hard to reach with all the funny rules about the thumb this thumb that shit.

Anyway I'm hungry, and I better go eat. I've got to be at 4 tones studio tomorrow to listen to this band play. Yay.

Eugene on his path to being a successful classical guitarist.
