The Past

Looking back at times when I was a hyper, popular kid in Temasek Sec. It's been a long way, a long hard way. I've changed. Better or for worse?

Ming Jie talked to me today. As a friend, he personally can feel the change in me. Everyone can. Everyone that is, except myself. I'm like- Huh?! What the hell are you talking about? I'm perfectly fine, breathing and kicking. This is Eugene man!

Moral of the story: You change subconsciously. If you change, you may not notice it. That is why you should open your ears and your mind up to CONSTRUCTIVE feedback. And change accordingly. If someone tells you nicely, your hair looks a bit funny. Maybe you should try a different style next time? That person isn't trying to put you down. The person wants the BEST for you, and thinks that another hairstyle is good for you! Why are you so negative and always thinking that people do not like you?!

Look at the bright side. (: Open up, take feedback positively. Someone told me- you look tired and sleepy. Man I don't scold the person. I go, "Thanks! I'll try to sleep earlier the next time man, see you again next week. Hope you can notice the change!" Well un-nice people might to, "Your business?"

Okay. That's ENOUGH on change. Talking about the past. Lets not always look back at whats been going on.. What has happened.. What WAS wrong and what WAS the thing to do.. Pastor Prince preached today.

"Worry not! For God's supply of manna is just enough for a day. Our God is a fair God. He gives equally abundant supply to everyone. The only problem with people is that they CONSTRICT this supply. A good image to describe it woul be a water hose. Imagine your solution is the water that will flow out of the hose. If you worry, you constrict the hose, and thus not letting as much water flow out. But is the supply still constant? Yes it is."

"Also, worry not about the past! What's over is OVER! Enjoy the PRESENT! Stop postponing your enjoyment, Jesus said "do not worry about tomorrow." Enjoy today! The only thing that is stopping you from God's abundant supply is WORRY. 1 Timothy 6:17- "The Living God, who gives us richly all things, to enjoy!"

Mankind is ALL about mistakes. Jesus is ALL about redeeming us from these mistakes. God is ALL about blessing us through the covenant that he has cut, for Jesus paid it all so that we might have ALL His blessings. Even though man may make a mistake, trust the mistake to God! He will make it right. Eg: "I make a wrong turn. I am supposed to go to Bali but I went to xxx instead. Nevermind God, I let you handle the situation. Thank you." And what happens? Bali gets bombed. God's hand of protection is on you. The mistake was a blessing. I escaped the Bali bombing!

Psalm 127:1-3
It is vain for you to rise up early,
to sit up late,
to eat the bread of sorrows.
For so He gives His beloved sleep!

"sorrows- painful toil; labour"
It is VAIN! For He has given you BELOVED SLEEP! Rest in God, and let Him do it all.

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich
And He adds no sorrow to it.

"sorrow- painful toil; labour"

"And He adds no sorrow to it" = "And no labour is added to it"


If you keep on looking at your rearview mirror, you might not notice the car in front, and you might just bang into it, and die. Look at the PRESENT, not at the past. The past is for you to LEARN from, but do not keep dwelling on the past. Learn from it, MOVE ON..
