of effects and guitars

Ah well for those who don't like to read posts about guitar, I'm sorry! I just have this love and passion for the guitar. And here's the story of my new effects pedal.

It's called the BOSS Distortion DS-1.
Shit boy, Ahmad sold it to me for 87 bucks. $80 for the pedal, I said I'd pay him $7 more if he delivered it the very night. It seemed odd that he paid $170 for it, I mean he told me. I SWEAR I saw it selling for $60 or something. But yes it's working well, and it produces a nice crunchy distortion. However, there's a need for a delay/reverb pedal. Then I need more distortion pedals, chorus, flanger, phaser and wah-wah.

I didn't have money for the Jekyll & Hyde distortion pedal. I saw the H2O Liquid Chorus and Echo pedal, also the Route99 Overdrive and Compression pedal? Holy hell those three pedals are like heaven to use if you have them. However there's the problem of cash. You see, I asked for a quote for the J&H and H2O pedals, he gave me $490.

OH MY GOD? $490?! I thought bringing $150 was more than enough for the J&H alone. But noo I was too ignorant. $250 for the J&H, $250 for the H2O. But because I bought both together, $10 cut is fine. I'll get the pedals for my birthday or something. Haha.

Anyway, I was at peninsula plaza today with MJ after service. What the hell! I asked the guy how much he was selling the BOSS distortion DS-1, he said $70.

Rahh I got ripped off. How could this be? Anyway it's done, and lessons have been learnt. Do not be too rushed even if you want things badly. It applies for everything I guess. My guitar was bought because I was so kan-chiong for it. $400 for a Yamaha Pacifica. It could've got me a les paul or something, but don't fret. Over's over.

And the day is saved, thanks to the new model les paul I have on my table. It's one of those $25 things, a little bit bigger than your palm. Like model cars? Yeah a model guitar. Haha, so cool. I'll take a picture one day.

Auditions for Black Lights are tomorrow! I hope the bands play well. And sigh how do I break the news to Justin that I'm going to switch classes? I guess he'll take it well though, haha. He always liked classical more than the electric guitar, yay to that anyway! JANICE! If your reading this, who wants to make a trip down to Mr Liauw's shop to introduce our new exco to him? Haha, I'm going down tomorrow so if it's convenient tomorrow will be a good date.

Yawn, I'm super tired. Haha.
Eugene.
